I got my bike mostly set up. I am waiting for a pair of Shimano M520 clipless pedals to come. It will be an adventure. I have been using clipless pedals on my road bike while spinning on a wind trainer. But never outside on the road, and never on the mountain bike. I have used the aerobars on my road bike, but again only on the wind trainer.
I mounted a 2nd bottle cage. The bike wasn't fitted for one, but I mounted one using a couple hose clamps.
3 hours...hmmm... I have never ridden my mountain bike that far or that long. Must be a tough course. It will be fun.

you're gonna need that mtb.
areobars might just help.
I rode the course and it's no
joke. there are many places where
a mtb(29er) will excell, and a few where
a cross bike will roll out...
Plan on 3 hrs on the bike
good luck to all.
