I’m looking to buy a Schwinn Sports Tourer from the early 70’s regardless of condition. Can be just parts, or the whole thing. I’m in NJ.

I have a sports tourer from the seventies, yellow with Campy shifters and a rock hard leather seat. Can anyone give me an idea of it value?
Its been indoors for the last 25yrs.Frame is in excellent condition no chips or rust.

I am offering a Schwinn Sports Tourer from 1972 that is in parts. I hate to part with it (pun intended) but it’s been in this state for 15 years now and I know I’ll never restore it as I had once planned. Any one interested? Made in Chicago baby. The real deal. Lemon yellow.

Schwinn bicycles are simply classics and a cult in it’s own class. I’ve always loved the style of Schwinn bicycles that set them apart from any other bicycle manufacturer. I must admit that for mountain biking I ride a full suspension TREK fuel, it’s about 6 years old but an awesome bike nontheless. You can’t go wrong with a Schwinn for cruising and I just love the new lowriders they make but I think I’d look a bit of a plumb riding one, maybe when I was younger!

I bought an old Sports Tourer at a garage sale about four years ago thinking I would ride it. It has been sitting in my garage ever since. The tires are flat, but other than that, it seems to be in decent shape. I would part with it for $25 if you want it. That’s what I paid for it.
