Way cool Scott! I am still hoping to find an old vintage steel frame Trek or Fuji or Specialized road bike. I always thought it would cool to have Specialized Allez like the guys raced in American Flyers.
Not sure what I would do with a vintage race bike. I already have a 1990 aluminum frame Trek 1000. But it just would cool I guess. LOL!

I think I figured out why the dumped the mountain bike I found yesterday. It looks like the fork was bent backwards during a collision. So it is toast. I may part the bike out. There is SIS handlebar mounted shift levers. I may pull those off, and look at installing them on my wifes Trek 700 hybrid which currently has twistgrip shifters. Her bike does have SIS derailluers.

On a ride about a month ago, I found 2 bikes. A fully functional Mongoose, which was an upgrade for my 11 year old. Just needed air in the tires and a bath. The other was a fairly cheap Pacific mountain bike, with dual suspension. Not sure how good it is, but it was fairly new and only had a bent back wheel. Might sell it if I can find a buyer, and use the money to support my Specialized habit.
